What We Do

When your car body requires thousands of dollars of body rust repairs, you take the chance of ending up with poor repairs, a patched up car, and no resale value. It is time to start thinking of a dry, rust-free, southwest re-builder. Make your body man and yourself happy and end up with a resalable investment.

Consultation

We will meet with you and discuss exactly what you want and what price bracket. For example, a complete car or body shell. What facilities you have to restore and your capabilities usually determine the condition of the car required.

When Do We Buy

Yearly buying trips are made December to February, April to May, and September to October.

Research

Before coming up with a price on your car, we must research the vehicle to see if we can locate what you are looking for.

Search

Vehicles can be hard to find. We start locating before our trip with our many contacts and Phoenix Auto Trader. If a vehicle is located, and we feel it will match what you are looking for, we arrange for our representative in Phoenix to check it out. If the car meets with your specifications and ours, we make the purchase. In some instances, if the car is not on the open market and we have time we can send photos of the vehicle. But since hard to find vehicles do not stay on the market long, and many local people are also looking, this cannot always be done.

Our long list was developed over many years in business, good contacts and reputable people to deal with on various makes and models of vehicles.

Upon locating a vehicle, we will provide a detailed description, photo (if time allows), and condition report. Locating fees are charged.

Purchase

You will deposit the U.S. purchase price of the vehicle to our Canadian account. The balance, locating fee, transportation fee, customs duty, brokerage fee, and taxes are due when the car is landed in Ottawa, Ontario. The car will be picked up and brought to our secure compound in Phoenix awaiting transportation to Ottawa.

Transportation

We load and ship your car back on our 9 car custom carrier. We take care of your car and it does not leave our truck or get booked from one broker to another. We do the work to bring the car through the U.S. and Canadian customs.

General Import Information

As of June 1993 the car serial number must be checked by U.S. customs. The car is to be held for 72 hours at the border before it will be allowed to enter Canada. We take care of this for you. We handle all import documents, customer invoices, certificate of origin, Department of Transportation emissions paperwork, and procuring of K-22s or proof of import.
